Back on Monday, 8 April 2024 the area of central Texas, Killeen, at 1:36 PM experienced a total eclipse. On Wednesday night, with moon rise beginning at 8:04 PM, the Pink moon (Full moon) occurred. The moon will appear full for upwards of 5-days, a rather long duration for the appearance of a full / nearly full moon.
While the sky was cloudy for about 30-minutes after moon rise, one of the below pictures was captured as the moon and clouds passed. Leaving a rather impressive image.
The full moon in April gets its name from a widespread flower that grows in the Northeast United States in the spring.
